Window

Heavy rain and wind today. I stood at the window and watched raindrops slide down the glass like I was six years old again. My thoughts echoed the weather, petulant and gloomy. Who am I? What am I doing with this life? Maybe this season of crisis should be a time to rethink everything. Make some big decisions. Go back to school. Become a nurse, a scientist, or a mystic. Leave America behind and walk the earth.

“Make something for lunch,” she said. “Start there.”

Midwife – Anyone Can Play Guitar

From Forever | Antiquated Future, 2020 | Bandcamp

A song of possibility from one of my favorite artists. Vapor trails of dream pop and beautiful fuzz. Prayer Hands was a highlight of 2018 and now a new extended-player is here, dedicated to a departed friend.

Each night in 2020 I'm writing a short post for a series called Notes From the End of a World because I want to etch these days into my memory before I forget them. Before the world changes completely.
