Far edge of Las Vegas

Las Vegas. Sunset: 6:01pm. Shocking skies with a high of 83 and a low of 50 degrees. C. and I headed straight to Chinatown for ridiculously excellent dim sum, then spent the day orbiting the margins of Vegas and thinking about how to live. We’ve been fantasizing about living in the desert for a solid decade, and the idea of living at the farthest edge of the Vegas sprawl has a beautiful Neuromancer ring to it. Perhaps this will be our future.

Vegas Tableau

Las Vegas. Moon: waxing gibbous, almost full. Scrolled past an abandoned baby stroller and a bottle of champagne on the median of Dean Martin Drive.

Future Church

Sunset: 6:20pm. A late spring day in October with a high of 72 degrees. More and more, I admire the imagery of Catholicism as a vocabulary of mourning.

Talking Over a Car Alarm

Sunset: 6:34pm. Moon: Waning crescent. It's too warm for October, yet C. and I are dreaming about the desert again.
